In 1973, the city designated 18 acres of the city cemetery (acquired in 1946) for the creation of Bee Creek Park, the site of College Station's first swimming pool. Park Description
Developed in 1979 as College Station's largest park, Central Park was unique in that it offered the widest variety of recreational opportunities of any park in the city at the time.
