Yesterday I went to my boy's baseball practice where it is usually filled with negativity. I spread some positive words to the kids and it seemed to rub off on the head coach. Now if we could get that condescending tone out of the assistant coach...all would be good!
I found out yesterday from my wife that last week she got put out at the assistant coach's negativity and she got out of the car and stood with her arms folded and gave him the stare down. This is what prompted me to try to swing things the other direction.
These boys are 11-12. They still don't need to be scolded especially if you are put in a new position. Teach them to play the position. Don't make them feel like an idiot for something they didn't know to do in the first place.
